What is Social Networking?
What is social networks? Social networks, we have all probably heard of it before, but not everyone knows what it means? If you were asked to define what social networks were, would you be able to give a precise definition. Social networks are defined as the group of individuals in specific groups, often as a small community or a neighborhood. As mentioned above, social networks often involve grouping individuals or specific organizations. Although there are a number of social networking websites that focus on special internets, there are others that do not. These websites are often considered as traditional social networking websites. These types of websites generally have an open subscription. This means that anyone can become a member, whatever their hobbies, their beliefs or their opinions. However, once you are in this online community, you can start creating your own network of friends; eliminating other people who do not meet your criteria.
If networking on the Internet looks like something that interests you, you are encouraged to find out more, like the dangers of social networks. These dangers often involve online predators or people who claim to be someone they are not. Although the danger exists with online networking, it also exists with networking in the real world. Like when you meet friends in a bar, school or work, it is advisable to proceed with online caution. By being aware of your environment and who you are talking about, you should be able to safely enjoy online social networks.
